1.개요

OMSA란?

Dell 에서 제공하는 서버 관리용 오픈 매니저 프로그램 이다. Dell 서버의 경우 OMSA 를 설치하여 현재 하드웨어 자원의 상태를 모니터링 할 수 있으며, SNMP와 연계하여 상세 정보들을 가져올 수가 있다.  특히, Perc 카드를 이용하여 Raid구성을 하였다면, 구성한 Raid에 문제는 없는지를 한눈에 쉽게 알아 볼 수 있기 때문에 서버 관리자에게는 특히나 유용하다.

2.설치 및 이용 방법

step 1. 압축해제

[@WEROOT: /tmp/omsa] # gzip –d OM_6.1.0_ManNode_A00.tar.gz 

[@WEROOT: /tmp/omsa] # tar xfp OM_6.1.0_ManNode_A00.tar

[@WEROOT:] # cd omsa//linux/supportscripts

[@WEROOT: /tmp/ omsa/linux/supportscripts] # ls

 ./  ../  prereqcheck/  srvadmin-install.sh*  srvadmin-services.sh*  srvadmin-uninstall.sh*

step 2. install 쉘 실행

[@WEROOT: /tmp/omsa/linux/supportscripts] # ./srvadmin-install.sh 

 

step 3. DELL LICENSE 동의

2.2 이용 방법 

OMSA 이용 방법

OMSA를 이용하기 위해선 웹브라우저를 이용하는 방법과 CLI를 이용하는 방법 두가지가 있다.

omconfig와 omreport 명령으로 구성 및 관리를 할 수 있고 해당 문서에는 omreport 명령을 통한

관리 방법만을 다룬다. 제약사항으로는 1311 port가 개방되어 있어야 하며 해당 포트가 개방되어 있지 않을 시 명령어를 입력하여도 출력 값들을 가져오지 못해 아무런 message가 

출력되지 않는다. 또한 관리자용 S/W 때문에 root 사용자로 로그인하여야만 사용이 가능하다.

2.2.1 CLI 이용법

OMSA가 설치된 $OMSA가설치된 디렉토리/bind에서 omreport 명령을 이용.

omreport chassis 명령으로 하드웨어 및 볼륨 상태를 점검할 수 있다.

omreport chassis 명령을 이용하면 위와 같이 컴포넌트 별로 상태가 출력되며

omreport chassis 컴포넌트를 입력하면 각각의 컴포넌트의 상태가 상세하게 출력 된다.

2.2.2 GUI 이용법

웹브라우저에 localhost:1311을 입력하고 root사용자로 로그인하면 아래와 같은 화면을 통해 볼 수 있다.
